About Safestra Solutions
Safestra Solutions exists to make intravenous therapy safer, more reliable, and better supported in real clinical environments.
Founded by Dr. Yahia Zine, an anesthesiologist with over 25 years of frontline experience, Safestra Solutions was shaped by years of observing how IV therapy is performed in practice. Despite being one of the most common clinical acts, IV therapy remains highly manual and fragmented, placing heavy cognitive and operational demands on clinicians and creating avoidable risk for patients.
Safestra Solutions was created to address these challenges by embedding safety, accuracy, and consistency into the IV therapy workflow through clinician-informed technology.
Our Origins
Safestra Solutions emerged from early research and development conducted within Sononurse VS, a Montreal-based medtech R&D studio founded by Dr. Zine to explore solutions to multiple systemic challenges in clinical care. Sononurse functions as an innovation environment where concepts can be designed, tested, and refined with clinical insight.
Safestra was formed as a focused initiative dedicated exclusively to IV therapy, with a clear product vision and a defined clinical problem space.
